In March, the BMUG group were lucky to have a special visit to the Geelong Regional Library (in Geelong).

First we were told about the apps that the Library offers and the services for which the Library can offer us use free of charge - eg Ancestry-com (Library version). Of course, Library resources are available for Apple and other products but the way they are accessed and used may differ. In general, digital resources from the Library can be used on phones (iPhones and others), iPads and other eReaders, and standard computers.

We were told about eBooks and shown a number of tricks for using them, and then about using Library resources for family history research.

Notes prepared by the Library speakers Caroline and Hannah are available here.
